TOLTECS OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM
This book is the chronicle of the first five years of Victor Sanchez´s relationship with the Wixarika indigenous people from the North of Jalisco, Mexico. The Wixarika is the only indigenous people surviving in Mexico that rather than having changed their spiritual culture after the Spanish context, they have preserved their original pre-Hispanic shamanic traditions based in the interaction with the forces of nature as an expression of the sacred.
It is a good example of how it is like to engage with the indigenous world and connect with the essence of their very practical spirituality (based in experience and not in faith), in a way that allows for the non-indigenous practitioner to apply it in his of her everyday life, for the purposes and needs of their own world.
In the words of the author Toltecs of the New Millennium is “anti-anthropology”* in action.
*This is a term that Victor Sanchez uses to refer the modality of approaching an indigenous comunity not in the way of imposing our western categories and concepts onto their culture, but instead “surrender to the effects of the experience” to be able to “cross into their world” and get a sense of what they are actually doing and seeing.
THE COLORS OF YOUR SOUL
(Los Colores de tu Alma)
This is an adaptation of Carl Jung´s psychological types model, meant to be understood and applied by the general public, which represents a very powerful system to understand yourself and others and the dynamic of interaction between the different personality types.
Rather than using technical psychological concepts, it represents the ways each personality tends to use their dominant energies in colors, so that is easy to understand and apply this powerful knowledge.
The Color Energies System, unveils the mystery of why and how each person uses their life-energy in a different way; what happens when they don´t understand themselves and each other; the effects and management of stress for each type and the best strategies to learn to use our energies in their superior functions and develop our neglected energies.
This model is particularly useful to be used in coaching, therapy, counseling and is also a powerful tool to support organizational development.
